Shimmy Your Shamrock's Onto Yer Sled For Some Shenanigans!

Top o’ the Morning to Ya! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!

Hope everyone had a great weekend riding… and if not maybe celebrating St. Partick’s Day parades or parties.

Today is a glorious day of celebration for my family, as it’s my parent’s anniversary! 35 years and going strong!!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MY MAMA & POPPY! “May your day be touched by a bit of Irish luck, brightened by a song in your heart, and warmed by the smiles of the people you love.”

Being that today is one of celebration, luck, happiness, and fun… I thought we’d take a couple snowmobile jokes and throw in some humor. (WARNING: Brand users please note that we are not choosing sides here, and we are merely in it for the laughter! Discontinue reading if you get offended easily. Haha)

Q: Why are Polaris snowmobiles and babies alike?
A: They both love rattles.

Q: How do you get a Ski Doo off your tail?
A: Cut the tow rope.

Q: Why did the Arctic Cat burn its belt up?
A: From towing 7 Yamaha sleds at one time.

Q: What is an Arctic Cat snowmobile owners favorite season?
A: Summer then they don’t have to work on the sled.

Now for the Best Nicknames for 2014:
Ski Don’t or YellowBelly’d Mustard Bucket
Arctic Scrap or Ditch Pickle
Yamahahahahaha or Yamaslop
and my favorite’s… Poor Old Losers Are Riding Inferior Sleds & Pull Off Lake And Repair In Spring! Poo-laris.

Ok, Ok… Enough sled bashing!! Hahaha… We love ‘em… We ride ‘em… We treat ‘em like family. Some even talk to them every now and again while in hibernation in the garage. I used to know a friend who would go into the “man cave” and have a couple brewskies with his buddy aka “his sled”. It’s a passion. It’s more than a sport… it’s a love like no other. A man (or woman) and his/her sled. A bond that will never break… and one that will always remain faithful.

As I sit here and listen to the birds chirping outside, I can only think that Spring is approaching and we’ll soon have the sloppy muck to deal with until it all dries up and we can start grass drags, water racing & skipping, and other fun times with ATV’s and off-road vehicles!! Mud season is welcomed with open arms!! Goose (my Jeep) get ready because your coming out of hiding soon!!

I’ll leave you with a quote for mud season… for all my girls out there who love to play outdoors… “Don't let the mascara and lip gloss fool you, she can go from makeup to mud in 3 seconds flat!!”

Until next time…

… aaaand that’s a braaaap!

Take a moment to say a quick prayer for a good man down, who lost his life Saturday due to excessive speed on a rough trail. We’ve all been there… let’s try to maintain acceleration and composure and keep it safe. RIP Michael D. “Mike” Hrim, 38 of Rome.

An Irish Blessing to Mike…

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
